Lomechanik
Lomechanik is an electronic collective/label which consists of a group of people who love to experiment. By electronic we mean everything from ambient to zip-hop & everything inbetween.

Featuring raga hiphop cut ups, loud drill & bass tracks, weird electronics and even sweet pop songs with a mild electronic twist. It’s nicely lo-fi and every now and again it’s swinging, which is quite unheard of in this experimental genre. Lomechanik is a bit like the missing link between Living Ornaments and Kettel on the one hand and Bong-ra on the other hand. On an international level it’s like locking up the likes of Aphex Twin, Panacea, Plaid and DJ Spooky in a studio and subsequently throwing away the key.

All over the Netherlands (We’ve only scraped the surface in Belgium & Germany) we?ve proved ourselves more than capable. And we’ve played them all: from squats to museums, from galleries to youth centres, from festivals to reknowned clubs like Melkweg, 013, Paradiso etc.
These gigs have either consisted of solo shows, Label evenings or art/media presentations.
Whether it?s on vinyl, cd or live Lomechanik likes to surprise the listener by utilising twists and turns, in-your-face noise, tranquility and catchy floorfillers. We DO parties, and when we do we like to compliment them with original visuals by The Stanzacrew, MNK and many others.
Ok, it?s time for some name-dropping. Artists we?ve played with are: Jamie Lidell, Luke Vibert, Jason Forrest, Four Tet, Bong-Ra, Kid 606, DAT Politics, Duran Duran Duran, Tipper, Venetian Snares, Knifehandchop, doormouse. To name but a few?
As a label Lomechanik has always been rooted in Nijmegen, but these days we?ve grown into a national collective/label with artists ranging from the furthest corners of Holland. In the future you can expect more exciting releases, new artists and even more gigs.

Lomechanik is een electronica collectief annex label bestaande uit gelijkgestemden met een voorliefde voor het experiment. Electronica in de breedste zin van het woord. Van ambient tot breakcore en alle subgenres die daar tussen zitten. Uit de releases van Lomechanik blijkt die variatie ook.

Live heeft Lomechanik met name binnen het Nederlandse zeker (op enkele buitenlandse optredens in Belgi? en Duitsland na) haar gezicht laten zien. Van kraakfeest tot Museum, van galerie naar jeugdhonk tot festivals en podia als Melkweg, 013, Paradiso enz. Lomechanik artiesten solo maar ook vaker als avondvullend programma met zogenaamde showcases / labelavonden.
Ook live wil Lomechanik verassen met onverwachte wendingen, brute noise, verstilling Maar ook met uiterst catchy momenten waarin iedereen op de dansvloer meegezogen wordt. Lomechanik bouwt graag dergelijke feestjes. Dit alles ondersteund met passend en origineel beeld va o.a. The Stanzacrew of MNK.

Als label heeft Lomechanik altijd zijn wortels in Nijmegen gehad maar de laatse tijd is Lomechanik een landelijk opererend collectief / label met artiesten uit het hele land. Verwacht in de toekomst meer verassende releases, nieuwe artiesten en meer live gigs. Ook bij jou in de buurt.
